Temporary Suspension of Air Connectivity with Italy
Following the recent developments in the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19} outbreak and the temporary suspension air connectivity, effective from 00:00 hrs on 8th March 2020, the following flights from Italy will be affected.

The Government is working closely with the Italian Consulate in the Maldives and Airline operators regarding alternative travel arrangements for those tourists who arrived in the Maldives by the above-mentioned airlines.
Furthermore, we are closely monitoring the statu s and the number of Italian tourist s who are currently in the Maldive s. Therefore, kindly please send information on Italian tourist in your facility as in the attached format latest by 14:00hrs on 8 March 2020.
We advise all touri st facilities to confirm the flight status regularly and avoid sending any tourists to Velana International Airport without making any alternative arrangements for the travelers.We will communicate with all tourist facilities of any alternative arrangements have been made.
